Swiftpath, affectionately known as Swifty, plays too many characters for me to remember. There's Angel, featured above, Duke, I believe, Merre... um... Well, there's a lot. She's really active and stuff, and she's cool and pretty much everyone likes her, so she gets to be member of the moment. She likes helping people and is nice too. Yay Swifty!

Welcome. Welcome to Color Scheme. If you're interested in joining, or you've already joined, this is the first place you should go to. In this board you'll find all the must-reads, like the plot and the rules, plus some handy optional threads that contain information that could help to make the concepts of the games more clear to you, or explain something that you didn't understand. If there's something that you don't think has been explained properly, feel free to PM an admin and we'll see what we can do.
Characters. (2 sub-boards) Once you've joined up, and read the plot and the rules, you can come here to write your character's application. You must fill out the form provided, which has been coded for your convenience, and post in the main board. Once you've finished, an administrator will come and look it over, and if everything meets our standards, then your post will be moved to the 'accepted' subboard, and you'll be allowed to go roleplay. You must wait until you're accepted before you move on to the in character boards. If you need an example to go by, check the accepted board for a finished application. The staff profiles will be pinned, so you can use those ones as guidelines if you want.
Bulletin Board. (3 sub-boards) Out of character announcements, character tracking board, and in character announcements. Having trouble remembering what threads you're in? Character tracking board. Looking to get caught up on what's happening lately? OOC announcement board. Recently found a mate or had puppies? Let us all know. This board, made necessary by the recent increase in activity, will include a census thread and a thread to keep track of our most active members. Get yourself on there and your chances to become member of the moment has doubled! The requirement is 60 posts, so get roleplaying. And the more you roleplay, the more you'll need to use the character tracker! Check up on this board often, as it will be subject to change almost daily.

CLAREVU VALLEY - neutral territory.
Tangled Grove. The tangled grove is a small, shady cluster of massive old trees mingled with young and slender saplings. Vines entangle the canopy and masses of brush and brambles litter the ground below. It's an easy place to get lost despite it's size for you cannot see anything that's a few paces in front of you. This can make it an ideal hunting ground, what with all the little bunnies, squirrels and mice running around, not able to see you if you hide yourself, or it could make a bad hunting ground, especially if you trip over one of the many gnarled roots that sticks out of the ground and scare away all the little animals.
Still Pond. This pond lies in the middle of the reed marsh, where the land slops inward and the water from all over collects. It's really quite deep, and provides a home to a surprising number of fish, as well as frogs and water birds, if one is brave enough to land in the midst of all the foxes who like to spend their time around the pond. It's quite secluded here, and it's a proven fact that it can't be seen by the foxes on the hill, so many illegal meetings of different coloured foxes take place here. Some mixed foxes even show up sometimes. As soon as a red fox shows up, the foxes shatter. They can't figure out why.
Reed Marsh. Despite it's name, the ground isn't all marshy and moist, though a lot of it is. It is common for reeds to grow in great clumps around here. There are dry parts, which makes it a great hunting place. But at times the reeds are so thick you have to forcefully push your way through them. If you can't stand mud between your claws, Reed Marsh is not the place to be. The marsh is an especially popular place on hot days, because the wet ground is cool and the reed clumps cast shadows. They may be small, but they create enough shade for a fox or two to stretch out comfortably and talk the day away. Who wants to work when the temperature's high?
Wildflower Hill. You will find a large hill that rises at the far end of an open field. Other then the bright green grass, wildflowers of all shades cover it. The reds, blues, and yellow are beautiful to behold, and it is a great place to lay and watch the clouds that drift lazily past. The view is just as magnificent as you can see a great expanse from this height. In the old days, elderly foxes would gather here to watch their children and grandchildren running around in the valley. These days, the highest ranking foxes like to spy on the others, trying to catch someone breaking the rules and consorting with the lower-ranking colours.
Winding Brook. This brook winds all through the valley, through the reed marsh, the tangled grove, around the base of wildflower hill, and away out into the land beyond the fox territory. It's too shallow to cause anyone any trouble, although it does get quite wide at parts. Still, even the smallest fox kit can walk through without a second glance at the wide parts. It's not recommended, though, because the current is swift and brings with it sticks and other objects from wherever it comes from. Rock that stick out of the sand do little to stop the determined little stream, which flows easily around obstacles like that.
Cliffside; red fox territory. A single group of small, black caves make deep indents in the huge, grey cliff that lies beyond the edge of the reed marsh. A short strip of orangey dirt makes a rough path along the base of the cliff, with rocks jutting out of the ground in front of it as if in warning that the cliff was coming soon. The cliff is almost completely flat, except for a few ledges and cracks, on which sparse weeds attempt to grow, and die trying. It's a bit of a drab place, but the caves provide one of the best shelters from rain and snow in the entire valley, so the red foxes took it and use it as their home.
Oak Woods; orange fox territory. The woods is actually a little cluster of elder oak trees. There giant boughs spread a lush and leafy canopy over the orange foxes that reside here. Sun spills through in a few places, creating shimmering pools of light on the ground. The foxes have made some of their dens below the gnarled roots of the trees. When you enter one you'll see the root tendrils that cross the ceiling--keeping the dirt from spilling down while you're sleeping. Otherwise, the woods are full of prey and there's even a small berry patch heavily laden with the season's harvest. Any lower class foxes would be in bliss just to step over the orange fox's borders.
Borderline Belt; green & yellow territory. The edge of the fox territory is determined by three things: first, the end of the cliff, the very bottom of the incline, the Wildflower Hill, which the foxes are not allowed to cross over, and finally the belt. It is a thin line of trees surrounded by grass which continues far off into the great unknown that is the rest of the world. The green and yellow foxes dig their dens at the base of trees, have decent shelter, enough food, and one of the nicest places to live. They won it mostly from their sheer numbers; twice as many as other colour. But there's also the fact that this is the area most constantly visited by outsiders. Bears, porcupines, wolves; all hostile, possibly diseased, extremely frightening for a wolf never exposed to these kind of things before. Still, the visits are rare. The green and yellows are willing to risk it.
Underground Caverns; blue fox territory. A gloomy, damp, smelly place. Gloomy because it's underground, and the only light comes from the little entrances on one side. On a cloudy or moonless night, this place is pitch black. Damp, because rain water flows down the tunnels into here and creates pools, joining the water that drips down of the ever-growing stalagmites that make the ceiling so interesting. You could stare up there for hours. Smelly, because long ago a bear died in here. The blues were forced to drag the half-rotten carcass out themselves before living in the caves. Luckily, now, the smell has diminished, and the caverns really aren't that bad. The cavern seems to glow blue, the water reflecting on the stone walls, the fox pelts reflecting on the water, the walls reflecting on the fox pelts. It's a beautiful place, once you're used to the darkness.
Shore Coves; indigo fox territory. Though sometimes not easy to spot until you are directly upon them, the shore coves are small dens dug from the Winding Brook's mossy banks. Fortunately, they are far enough up the bank to secure the indigo foxes from flooded homes but it's still a moist and often cold place to make a living. What's even worse is that the dens are to often collapsing in on themselves after a heavy rain, the foxes have to sleep else where until the ground hardens again. There is a plus though--the foxes are close enough to the brook to catch small fish--at least if you are quick enough to snag the silvery darting creatures. Otherwise you'll have to stalk the rocky areas for water voles or the forest for other prey. The Shore Coves are not a very pleasant place to live but things could be worse...
Steep Incline; violet fox territory. It seems as though the cliff decides to end quite suddenly, dropping sharply into a steady downward slope, littered with rocks and little shrubs. This is the place the purple foxes call home. To the untrained eye, the incline seems like a terrible place to live. But the purple foxes have come to know it, and have discovered its potential. First, there are all sorts of shallow rock pools that fill during stormy weather and last surprising amounts of time. Second, dens are easily dug from the loose stone that surrounds large boulders which have rolled down, and excellent shelter is provided from these. The bunnies get fat off the weeds and bushes, and provide a great source of prey. And for the more sentimental, romantic types, there's an amazing view of the sunset that paints the grey rocks purple, pink, orange, yellow, and red. It's a breathtaking sight.
Drab Plateau; shade fox territory. If you have black, white, silver, grey, or another other variant of these non-specific colours of fur, this is where you belong. Or maybe it's not; it doesn't really matter, you're forced to live here anyway. Halfway up the cliff is a huge plateau, flat and completely free of any scenery. It's a very boring place... Except for the view. You can see the entire valley from up here, and boy is it beautiful. So beautiful, in fact, that the reds had at first planned to live here. Unfortunately they soon realized that when it rained they had absolutely no shelter, not even in the tunnel that was used to get up to the plateau. The rain runs down that tunnel like a river. So they give it to the greys, the second lowest of the lows.
